Brown: 1 small onion, diced; garden onions may be used
1 small green pepper, diced; canned Ortega peppers may be used*
1 clove garlic, diced
3 sliced Basque chorizos
Brown these in little or no oil.
*If you use Ortega peppers, add carefully, as they add zing, and are HOT!
Then Add: 2 cans garbanzo beans – liquid and all salt, pepper, and oregano to taste. Simmer till done. Chopped parsley may be added for color. Tomato sauce may be added for variety.
