½ gal. milk
¾ cup rice
1&1/2 cup sugar
½ tsp salt
½ or 1 cinnamon stick
Bring milk to boil, add the rice.
Cook on medium heat for about 30 minutes, or till rice is tender, then add sugar, salt, and cinnamon stick, and stir well.
Continue cooking another 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove cinnamon stick, if preferred, and put mixture into individual bowls.
Cool, or serve warm with light cream. (For a different flavor, add a large slice of orange peel with the cinnamon stick.
