Through a generous grant with the Oakland Tribune and the Bay Area News Group, NLGJA offers students the opportunity to participate in a paid, 10-week internship at The Oakland Tribune.  The position is open to all students who are undergraduates, graduate students or recent graduates. Applicants should demonstrate an interest in a career in print and multimedia journalism and a commitment to NLGJA’s mission of ensuring fair and accurate coverage of LGBT individuals and the issues that most affect them.

 

To apply, student applicants should submit the following:

 
A cover letter explaining your career goals and how you see NLGJA’s mission of working “ within the news industry to foster fair and accurate coverage of LGBT issues” impacting your work and work life.
·        A one-page resume.
·        3 to 10 samples of your work.
·        One letter of reference.
 

Deadline for applications is Friday, June 1, 2012. Applications must be received by NLGJA’s National Office by this date to receive consideration.
