Discounts Offered at Squaw Valley-
Squaw Valley one of the few ski resorts that has stayed open longer this season, is offering their customers discounts for the remaining season of Spring 2011. The best part is if you are a college student you get an even better deal. Many skiers and snow boarders have been having taking a second trip in order to take advantage of discounts the ski resort is offering. Many people from around the state of California, and also out of the state have been coming to Squaw Valley before the season ends.
Squaw Valley offers its customers the lowest prices when they buy their passes by June 15, 2011. They also offer skiers and snow boarders Season Pass Benefits, which includes the Gold Pass, Silver Pass, and the Bronze Pass. Season passes are on sale now starting from $399, Spring Season passes are now only $199 which can be added to any 2011-12 winter pass for $129. Squaw Valley will be extending their season up until mid-May. If you just want to enjoy a day or two of skiing there are also great deals, Squaw offers a $59 all day lift ticket for those who do not want to purchase a season pass.
John McGiveron, a 22-year-old ski equipment specialist, works at the Ski and Snow board rental at Squaw Valley and he is sure that many are coming for the discounts the resort is offering.
“I believe many people are coming to Squaw Valley because there is plenty of advertising all over Lake Tahoe, and the Internet,” McGiveron said. “The mountain holds appreciation and it is something that attracts locals and also people from other states.”
Lindsay Black visits the resort yearly and is happy that Squaw Valley is offering discounts that will go up until next season.
“I am very much taking advantage of the discounts that the resort is offering this season, because I come every year,” Black said. “I actually have a ski house here in Tahoe so I am definitely happy that they offering bargains and also extending their season.”
Being one of the largest ski areas in the United States, and being home of the 1960 Olympics, Squaw Valley continues to receive great reviews and rankings from the biggest names in the ski industry. All the achievement and rankings Squaw received attracts people from all around the world, but their discounts is what is attracting even more skiers and snow boarders.
Sarah Coleman also from San Francisco has a season pass that has the discount included.
“I definitely have the discounted season pass, that will work up until next season, which means I will definitely be here skiing next season,” Coleman said.
College Students can now ride Squaw for only $49.
“We just extended our student rates,” said Pete Maktenieks who works in the ticket booth. He said students now get a discount every day of the week except Saturday instead of just the usual Monday through Thursday. “College students must print out the student coupon online.”
